Free Annual Performance Event

The Children’s Creative Project presents a free annual performance event featuring professional touring artists at either the Santa Barbara Bowl, the Arlington Theatre or the Granada Theater for 2000 to 4000 elementary students from Santa Barbara South County schools. During morning school hours, the performances feature performing companies that tour nationally and internationally.

Study guides for classroom teachers are provided prior to the performances to expand the students’ experiences.  

The Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation’s EdOut and UCSB Arts & Lectures often co-sponsor these events.  We are grateful for grants to provide student bus transportation from The Towbes Foundation, the City of Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts and Culture.

2019-20 Annual Free Performance Event

The Children's Creative Project presented The Kingdom Choir at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Monday, September 9, 2019. The Kingdom Choir draws from various Christian traditions and is dedicated to creating a sound that reflects the community they share through their warm energy and enthusiastic performances. The choir’s rendition of Stand By Me went straight to the top of the Billboard charts following the show-stopping performance at the Royal Wedding in May 2018.

We are proud to co-sponsor this performance with Santa Barbara Bowl EdOut and welcomed 2,500 students to the performance.
